COST Call for Proposals

24 June, 2013

European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) call for proposals has been open.

COST brings together researchers and experts in different countries working on specific topics. COST does not fund research itself, but supports networking activities such as meetings, conferences, short-term scientific exchanges and outreach activities.

COST invites proposals for actions contributing to the scientific, technological, economic, cultural or societal development of Europe in the following nine key domains:

- Biomedicine and Molecular Biosciences
- Food and Agriculture
- Forests, their Products and Services
- Materials, Physics and Nanosciences
- Chemistry and Molecular Sciences and Technologies
- Earth System Science and Environmental Management
- Information and Communication Technologies
- Transport and Urban Development
- Individuals, Societies, Cultures and Health

In addition, Trans-Domain Proposals allow for broad, multidisciplinary proposals to strike across the nine scientific domains.

Proposals will be evaluated in two stages. Preliminary proposals (maximum 1 500 words/3 pages) shall be submitted by 27 September 2013, 17.00 Brussels time. Around 20 % will be invited to submit a full proposal for final selection of approximately 40 new actions. Full proposals will be invited by 22 November 2013 for submission by 24 January 2014.
