Foundation of European Network of Ecodesign Centres

26 October, 2012

You are kindly invited to attend the launch of the newly formed European Network of Ecodesign Centres (ENEC) that will take place 28/11/2012 in Brussels.

ENEC has a core aim to support the sustainability, efficiency and competitiveness of industry in Europe though the generation, dissemination and application of ecodesign and life cycle thinking knowledge. The network will form a platform to openly exchange knowledge, experience and best practice (e.g. policies, instruments, tools, services, case studies etc.) on all aspects of ecodesign, from regional policy development and delivery through to implementation in industry and education, ensuring more companies make ecodesign happen. In doing so the network will co‐develop projects for common challenges across the regions ensuring Europe is at the forefront of stimulating demand for ecodesign.

The founding organisations are the Ecodesign Centre in Wales, the German Effizienz Agentur Nordrhein Westfalen, the Spanish Basque Agency Ihobe, the French Pole Eco--‐Conception and the Flemish Agency OVAM.

The official launch of the network will take place on the 28th of November 2012 from 15:00 to 17:00 in Brussels in the venue of OVAM, in Mechelen (Stationsstraat 110). Representatives from the European Commission will open the event.
