European Commission has launched a new website on Circular Economy

The European Commission Directorate-General  Environment has produced a website page explaining what is a circular economy and the benefits it will bring to Europe in terms of new growth and job opportunities. It provides basic information on circular economy and several links to other sources of information including a new factsheet on the circular economy in three languages English, German and French.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), as the Secretariat of the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP), has pre-launched the online Global SCP Clearinghouse, a unique one-stop hub dedicated to advancing Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) worldwide. Through knowledge sharing, cooperation and participation tools, all stakeholders – governments, UN agencies and other international organizations, the business sector and civil society – will be offered the opportunity to:

We invite you to take a look around, and see what it does (registering as a user with a login, gives access to far more options and information). The site is still in beta, which means that the site will develop within the coming weeks.
